I would rather use UTC and sync the time with ntp. So a fix would still be something I want, but I am glad it is at least working now.

The more people that complain about hibernation issues, the more likely we are to get a fix - in theory at least. I have logged a case requesting GUI access to the hibernation logs within DSM. WebI don't fully understand it, but I think it's related to these messages "cron.err crond[756]: time disparity of 1096 minutes detected". So it has real consequences, at the very least it can make crond sleep() for 18 hours without running any job.
