I've done at least three sets of driveshaft boots with them, and never had a problem. Get some decent-sized ones and pull them good and tight. Guys your jackshaft bearing is exposed on the inside of the tunnel now, had been for a while now. Ice, water, dirt etc is able to get at both PTO side bearings. A little extra maintenance is necessary. WebAll shafts in storage should be re-lubricated every six months as part of an in storage maintenance program. Any shaft being pulled from storage and put into operation should be re-lubricated prior to being placed into operation. Care should be exercised when delivering shafts to the job site.
