I've even had a few VHD's go completely corrupt and can't be opened or mounted at all, and I have to use a third-party utility to convert the damaged VHD to a VHDX, then convert it back to VHD to get it operable again. Websearching for a solution to this problem for a long time and I believe I have found a solution. My computers are on a domain with Active directory. When they are not in a managed group, the log on is quick. When the machines are put into a managed group, it takes 599 seconds to load (10 minutes) the desktop. The winlogon notification subscriber is taking long time to handle the notification event (EndShell). When you initially reboot the server it accepts all connections without issue and processes GPOs correctly.
