WebBurgh by Sands is a village in Cumbria, located near the Solway Firth, and about 4 miles north-west of Carlsile. St Michael's Church in Burgh by Sands dates from the 12th century. The village was also on Hadrian's Wall and about a mile to the north of the village, on Brurgh Marsh is a monument to King Edward I who died there in 1307.
