Statutory consultee planning applications
WebWhilst we are not a statutory consultee in the planning process, our Planning, Landscape and Ecology team proactively review planning applications submitted to local authorities to understand how proposals might impact our assets and the services that we provide. Our responses to planning applications usually include comments regarding drainage. Webthe statutory consultee is a party to the appeal they may be liable to an award of costs to or against them. It would be for the Planning Inspector to decide in the particular circumstances whether a statutory consultee's involvement in the appeal was such that they could be considered a party and be subject to an award of costs.
