WebMar 17, 2016 · Toyo 888: Grippy WHEN properly set up, sensitive to overdriving, overheating, pressure, camber, heat cycle, humidity, wind, etc. etc. Work great when all is perfect. Toyo RA-1: Very slightly less grip than perfect 888, but VERY forgiving. If there is air in the tire, they stick till the cords show. My current favorite. Am on my second set. WebJul 10, 2013 · Driving in the rain with the Toyo Proxes R888 tires. This was done with (New Tires) with hardly any miles on them and No-Burn Outs at all or Drag Racing passes on them. Tires had 32 psi in all four. And weather conditions temperature wise was like Low 40's to mid 50's. If you don't know these tires are not designed for Cold Weather driving.

The Pirelli P-Zero, Michelin PSC and Michelin Trofeo's are great too but I need to take from my boys college fund to pay for them. Toyo RA1's were great and cheap for tracking but Toyo has cut back production.
